GSM Scale / Acrylic Cover

INNOLAB Mechanical Weigh Scale has been specially developed to offer a user friendly scale without the hassles of frequent calibration as in Quadrant Scale. It gives direct reading of Fabric GSM without any calculation.
INNOLAB Scale has two Horizontal Scales (white & black) and one Vertical Scale (black). White Scale is marked 0-100 with least count 100 GSM & black Scale (Horizontal) is marked 0-100 with least count 1 GSM. Vertical Black Scale is marked 0 + 5. The balance is equipped with a Pan on left hand side & a spirit level with 3 Nos. leveling screws, below the main frame of Scale. Two small screws are provided on LH side so that pointer can be gets zero on O (on Vertical Scale). Two riders (Weights - heavier for white & lighter for black Scale) are provided for calculation of GSM.
SCALE SETTING

a) With the help of leveling screws, try to place the bubble at the center ring in spirit level. Once the bubble is at center the equipment is at proper level.
b) Now see where the pointer is resting on Vertical Scale. If it is above zero then turn the two small screws clock wise (inwards) to bring the pointer at zero & just the reverse if it is below zero i.e. the screws to be turned out clock wise (out wards) if pointer is below zero.
Once the pointer is at zero on Vertical Scale your equipment is set.
TESTING PROCEDURE
1. Place the piece of round Fabric cut from Round Cutter on the Pan.
2. Now move the heavier Rider to 100 & keep the lighter rider an black Scale at Zero. If the pointer is above zero on vertical Scale then the Fabric GSM is more than 100 & if below zero then Fabric GSM is lower than 100.
3. In case of Fabric GSM < 100. You may use only the black Scale. For fabric GSM <100 keep the heavier rider on zero & move the lighter rider so that pointer rests on Zero. The reading on the black scale will give GSM (Grams per sq meter).
4. Now if Fabric GSM > 100 but less than 200 keep heavier rider on 100 & move the lighter rider till you get pointer on zero.
Now Fabric GSM = White Scale Reading + Black Scale Reading
Similarly for GSM > 200 or 300 or so on similar procedure can be adopted.
